Steel Fibres is fiber reinforcement materials used in construction sector as a replacement for wire mesh for many years in order to increase impact resistance, wear resistance and prevent crack formation.

 

BETONFIBER® HE1050 Steel Fibres 1100-1250 N / mm2 (MPa) is produced according to ASTM A820 standard with cold drawn steel with tensile strength. Concrete floors, especially in industrial areas deal with static loads such as machines and shelves, as well as dynamic loads such as vehicle traffic, and start deformation and face with cracking at junction points.

 

BETONFIBER® HE1050 Steel Fibres homogeneously dispersed into the concrete and make concrete impact strength and energy absorption capacity high and prevent cracking.

Features & Benefits

Bending Strength: BETONFIBER® HE1050 Steel Fibres requires high energy to peel from the concrete. The bending strength after fracture is directly proportional to the amount of concrete added to the steel wires and the amount used increases the energy absorption capacity of the concrete.

 

Bending – Fatigue strength: The bending fatigue strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete is considerably higher than that of wire mesh reinforced concrete. Steel fibre is very effective in preventing crack formation in areas exposed to static and dynamic loads.

 

Impact Resistance: Steel fibre increases the impact strength and energy absorption capacity of the concrete to the maximum level by providing a three dimensional distribution in the concrete mortar.

 

Degradation: Concrete reinforced with steel fiber is much more resistant to breakage and shattering than unreinforced concrete. In particular, it minimizes the fracture sensitivity which occurs at joints of concrete.

Participation Rates & Practices

The addition rate of BETONFIBER® HE1050 Steel Fibres varies according to the concrete mixture design, hardness strength for the application of the project. The participation rate per square meter is specially designed according to the requirements of each project.
• When concrete is being prepared, it is mixed at the plant or in the construction site by mixing.
• After adding BETONFIBER® HE1050 Steel Fibre to the concrete mortar, mixing for 7 – 12 minutes is sufficient for homogeneous dispersion.
• It is necessary to pay maximum attention to the soil compaction process before concrete casting application.
